Ottawa Facility achieves ISO 14001 Environmental Certification

DEW Engineering, an established and trusted manufacturing resource to aerospace and defense customers, today officially announced the certification of their Environmental Management System (EMS) to ISO-14001 according to UL DQS, Inc., a globally recognized and accredited certification body for management system standards.

The requirement for continuous environmental improvement drives more efficient use of all inputs, including raw materials, energy, and labor. Other benefits to registration include improved health and safety, statutory and trade compliance, and a positive public image. “This verifies DEW incorporates an effective management system to measure and minimize the impact of our operations on the environment, and maintain compliance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations,” says Ian Marsh, President of DEW Engineering.

DEW Engineering will continue to adequately plan our structure and allocate resources, provide training, create forums for discussion, set measurable targets, and work according to the philosophy of continuous improvement.

DEW Engineering has become the first North American subsidiary of CoorsTek to achieve this prestigious environmental certification.

DEW Engineering is an ISO 9001:2008 registered defence company providing customers with total solutions for vehicle armour innovation, platform integration and large-scale manufacturing. Plans for 2013 include registration to ISO 14001 for our Miramichi, New Brunswick facility.
